Please join Cecil Land Trust for its first annual Robert Burns Supper, a local foods dinner in celebration of the “Gift of Good Land” on January 26, 2018 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Ed Walls Building, Fair Hill, MD.
We’ll celebrate the agrarian landscape and its preservation with poetry readings by high school students of the works of agrarian poets such as R. Frost, W. Berry, and of course, R. Burns. There will be traditional Scottish dancing, music, two bagpipers piping in the haggis and then playing dance music, as well as whisky, local beer, local shepherd’s pie and shortbread.
Cost of attendance is $40 per person, proceeds benefit Cecil Land Trust. This is a great way to ring in 2018, and would be the perfect holiday gift for that “hard to buy for” person on your list!
Tickets are available through members of the CLT Board, or by calling (410) 441-3717 or emailing beth @ cecillandtrust.org. Or, feel free to mail a check to CLT’s office (135 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921) and tickets can be mailed to you or placed at a “will call” table at the event with your name, whichever you prefer.
Hope to see you there!
